Zack is 4 months old already!
Some thoughts about him:
-he loves to laugh
-he can roll over (back to tummy) when he is on our bed but when he is on the floor he only goes to his side
-he has really learned how to scream when he is hungry or tired
-he started sleeping in his crib in his room instead of the cradle in our room
-he has some nice rolls, especially his thighs (we call them thunder thighs)
-he has two little teeth on the bottom
Here are some of our favorite pictures of him (sorry if they are blurry, I took most of them with my phone camera)

Veggie Garden
Our up-stairs neighbor Mindy and I decided to plant a garden this year. We have a HUGE dirt plot behind our rental house and the lawn-care guys said they wouldn't ruin it if we planted. We decided to plant the following:
-tomatoes
-corn
-zucchini
-yellow squash
-onions
-green onions
-watermelon
-cantaloup
-cucumbers
-strawberries
-bell peppers (both green and red)
After planting all that we probably only took up about 1/8 of the land back there!
Here are some pictures of the garden from last week...
I'll take some more pictures in a few weeks, hopefully I get lots of veggies this summer!!!

Row of onions. We bought three different kinds. Hopefully they work since we planted them really late.

Our cute little zucchini sprout. It is also a lot bigger now!

The corn coming up. I am so excited for fresh corn on the cob!

The tomato plant has little blossoms now.
The garden. You can kind of see the corn to the far right (there are 6 rows of corn) and the strawberries and peppers hadn't been planted when I took this picture.

Why I love teaching
As this school year comes to a close I decided to let the kids "grade" me by filling out a survey. I got some great feedback and some very interesting responses. I put my favorites below!

An actual smile!
Zack is a pretty solid sleeper. We like that. Zack now smiles and laughs and it's awesome. He is now able to grab things. Often he'll grab his blankets and burp cloths and pull them up to his face. He also loves being outside. He's not sitting up yet but he really wants to. Good times all around.

One Month Already
Zack is already 1 month old! Here are some random facts about his life so far:
-He loves to stick his tongue out
-He has started to sleep about 6 hours every night
-He gets really grumpy when he is hungry and isn't fed right away
-He loves to pee every time you change his diaper, especially on his dad
-He started smiling when he is done eating and is drifting off to sleep, or when he farts
-He hates his bed - if he wakes up in his bed and is not being held he gets very crabby
-He is getting chunky and developing some wonderful arm and leg rolls
-He loves the color orange
-Socks fall off his feet with in two seconds
-His eyes are getting more brown by the day
-If he could have his way he would eat constantly
-He is very wiggly
-When you hold him he likes to push away from you and look around
-He has his Aunt CJ's disease where he stares off into space without blinking for a long time
-He can sleep through anything but when he wakes up he wants to be eating that second
-He is pretty good in the car
-He sneezes a lot, and loudly (just like his Nana)
I am going to try to take a picture of him with his little monster every month so we can see how much he grows!

New beginnings
A few Weeks ago we had New Beginnings for our Young Women. It was a really nice event. I didn't get much pictures but I was in charge of the food and decorating so I did take some pictures of that! (The pictures are from my phone so sorry if they are blurry)
It was a really good activity and we had all our active YW come! Still working on the many inactive girls we have.
The Yummy Food Table!
Me and our YW president made these cute fruit skewers with all the value colors.
We put Rolos in the bottom of the tin for the new value "Virtue."
The theme was Stand in Holy Places so we had plenty of temple pictures.
We had the girls cut out and decorate shoes to help remind them to "Stand" in Holy Places.
