Christmas 2011

We went to my parents in Maineville Ohio for Christmas 2011. They moved into the house on Thursday, everyone got there on Saturday or Sunday, so there was a lot of boxes and settling in to do. Here are about a billion pictures:

Felipe and my brother-in-law Brice putting lights on the HUGE tree we got.

My super cute nephew Carter showing off his top teeth.

Payton super excited to find all my parents old VHS movies.

Sitting down for Christmas dinner. My mom got a china hutch and we put her China in it. My HomeGoods skills were put to good use!

The stocking were hung by the chimney with care. Although they were too heavy so we had to get extra hooks to hold them all up.

All the siblings with our paint cans full of Christmas Eve PJ's.

Us with our new jammy jams on.

Felipe and Nick waiting to go down the stairs to see what Santa brought!

Felipe and I after church on Christmas day.

My super cute parents after church on Christmas day.

Trisha and her husband Brice. We went out to this amazing restaurant. They had great ribs, chicken and onion straws. YUMMY!

Nick, Felipe and Brice at Montgomery Inn Boathouse.

All in all it was a great Christmas!

Hope everyone is having a great New Year (and month of February as well).
Love you all!

Payton Stole my Camera

One Sunday night, not so long ago, Payton stole my camera and took the following pictures (along with about 100 more). I am dedicating this post to her, in her own language.

Conference Weekend

A few weeks ago Sally, Grant and kids came up for the weekend. It was fun to see them and very entertaining.

Since Sally hates uploading pictures I will put some cute ones of her kids!

Violet ate the inside of her cinnamon roll like a lollipop!

Eliseo in awe of violets cinnamon roll.

  Alma and his plate...

Yummy cinnamon rolls that were *almost* all eaten.

Felipe and Alma snuggling on the couch.

Rune. Alma and his crazy hair in the background.

Lily eating her cantaloupe.

It was a great weekend. We love having visitors and can't wait to see Sally and Family again soon!

Utah State Fair

In the middle of September, we had the opportunity to go to the Utah State Fair with my friend Carrie, her husband and son. We had never been and wanted to go at least once while we lived here. It was fun but probably not worth the $10 entrance fee per person.

I love making Felipe pose in front of random animals...

and pumpkins.

Jett climbing on a pumpkin with his monkey backpack. Notice sponge bob in the back?

Fil and I.

And here is this... thing...

Fil flapping like the swan. I love his facial expression.

Jett driving the army jeep.

Pants

A student came up to me and said
"Mrs. Sanchez, I left my pants on your laptop."
This is what he meant...

I guess these are origami pants???

Summer Crafts

This summer I found the amazing website called www.pinterest.com

I am addicted! It inspired me to make a few different crafts and recipes. If you are a member add me! (I still don't know how to find people yet...)

I found a cool tutorial for a dry erase "To Do" board. This whole project cost me $3.

I also found an idea to take a design cut out of magical paper, stick it to a canvas, paint around it, and remove the paper. Here is the result.

Now on to finishing the scrap quilt I've been working on. Or to clean my MESSY house... nah! I vote for ignoring my house and quilting!
