Christmas is all around

First and foremost, happy holidays to everyone!!! Though we didn't send out cards, we want everyone to know that we love you guys. We really do.

We stayed mostly in Provo for the break. We did have a wonderful Christmas. I am truly surprised how much we have been blessed with wonderful friends and family. Got the picture of our tree without much view of the mess from the unwrappings. Krys and I got each other stuff we needed and stuff we wanted. It has been a wonderful time for the both of us.

We went up to West Jordan and Taylorsville for meals. That got us out of the house and that was nice. Krys and CJ got to talk to their little brother Nick who is currently serving in the San Diego mission with a three way call with their parents. Thank heavens for a speakerphone. He comes back in July. Due to inclement weather we were unable to travel last night back to Provo. However, we are safe and sound. I know that there are some storms going around so please, please drive safe and have a wonderful New Year.

Funny Quote

So we were sitting ar5ound Felipe's sister's kitchen table last night and I have no idea how it came up but all of the sudden she said:

"So Felipe, I hear you are hot in bed."

Then she realize how that sounded (probably by the look of our astonished faces) so she went on to say:

"I mean I hear you have a warm temperature when you are under your covers at night"

Yeah I know... sometimes she may be strange... but hey its fun to live so close!

The Museum of Beans

We had an amazing opportunity to take our nieces and nephews to the Bean Museum this week! So I tried to tell the boys on the way there that we were going to see a whole museum full of lima beans, pinto beans, and refried beans. Anyways, we loved watching the kids have fun looking at the crazy animals.

The infamous penny playing

So, as the awesome child I am or was [that all depends on who you talk to], I used to play with pennies. Yeah, that's right. And your curiosity arises. What did go through that boys mind whilst he was playing with said pennies? To the few of you who have continuously asked me that question it may seem that I have avoided giving an answer. That has probably been true many times. But the answer is rather basic and non-dramatic. All you really need to do is think boy thoughts and you have the answer. GI Joes would serve the same purpose as would many other small type toys like Legos and what have you.

In other news, our little family is just fine. I've got barrels of homework I should be doing right now. Krys is mostly busy with work at the Maxx. We're getting ready for the holiday season. We're excited to see family come to town. And yes, we're going to be all over the place. All kinds of insanity. Bwaah!!!! Anyways, I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Pictures, Hooray!!

This is right outside the St. Louis temple. You know, just the usual mushy shots.

The cake. With funfetti. That's right, we had funfetti in our cake. It was the best cake ever!!

One last awesome picture. At least one of my favorites.

Labored Day Weekend

Dearest friends, you are all great and sorry for not writing as much as we could. But let me give you a sum up of what is going on around the Sanchez household.

Last month at work was crap-tastic [Sorry M-I-L for using the word crap, I know I shouldn't]. But I was used and abused spackling, sanding, priming, painting, digging through rock, putting up fences and doing many of those things by myself when there should be at least two. Some of this was even done when I had a bogus thumb [I have an oblong bone in there that should be round]. Don't worry, my thumb is better however still sore.

Sister Eileen and family moved into Provo. It's nice having more family around and so close. Also, it's fun being asked to play Polly Pockets.

Anyways, for this weekend Krys' father was in West Jordan for the weekend helping Jason and CJ [Krys' sister and B-I-L] put wiring in their basement. So we spent a good portion of our weekend up there. I learned some of the wiring stuff and put up some blue boxes. It was quite the experience. Though I still feel awkward around my in-laws [no offense, I'm just not used to you guys yet], I am getting much better.

I am back in school again starting today. my schedule is going to pretty busy. Got my refereeing job again. So there's big change. And I feel weird around so many students. Anyways, I will try to convince ourselves to update more often. Love to you all.

PS- best Oregon license plate ever and I quote: "FOO POO". I almost wet myself reading that one.

Some funny crap or sayings

"You dropped a satellite on a bunny?"
-Krys

"....Ireland is obviously Ireland...."
-Brando

"I was eating pie!"
bad guy in Paycheck

"I've been wearing some fruity soaps!"
-Pig Finn

Which reminds me, my soap has the pleasant aroma of yoghurt. And you all should watch Waking Ned Divine if only for the old man butt.

Dinosaur fan

Just letting you all know that Krys and I are fine. We're working our butts off trying to pay for crap and taking care of ourselves. We got to see my sister Sally and her family when they passed through town. We've also attended a couple of weddings and gave awesome gifts and cards.

However, this post is mostly about me being a dinosaur nut. That and I just got addicted to Jurassic Fight Club on the History Channel. I guess you could say that I've liked dinosaurs since I small child. And after having read Jurassic Park and Lost World by Michael Crichton on several occasions the whole study of dinosauria fascinates me. I thoroughly enjoy learning about what these terrible lizards were capable of. Personal favorites are the T. Rex and Velociraptor. These animals rocked the house. I just learned some cool stuff about the tyranosaur. Apparently the rex used biological warfare and stuck together in family groups. Yeah, I'm a nut.

Also, here's a picture.

Pictures

As my amazing hubby has mentioned, we did get our pictures and I finally got them loaded to our computer. I can't post a lot of them but I will try to post my favorite! (we are "borrowing" our neighbors internet so the connection is really slow until we get our own internet).

Well, as I try to load them they seem to take about an hour to load so I think I'll just post one or two at a time! Sorry!

Welcome to the LG

Hey everybody!!! Krys and I are just hanging out in La Grande, Oregon right now. For me it's nice to see the old hometown. I'm really glad to get to see more of the family. We've been helping take care of all the babies that are around. It's been barrels of fun already.

For other news, Krys and I finally got our wedding pictures last night. They turned out really nice. Quite a few classy pictures. We'll soon be posting some on the website. You can also note that we are sometimes bums when it comes to posting. Yeah, we need to get better.

Anyways, we love you all. We look forward to seeing many of you at the receptions. Travel safe and don't do anything I wouldn't do. Yup.

I'm more Mexican

Things are going well in suburbia New Yourk. [Or somewhere not anywhere near there] Recently I got a new job/internship at Precision Concrete Cutting where I will be learning about the business. So far I've mostly pulled a lot of weeds, fixed fence posts and shoveled near two tons of gravel. But the opportunity is good and I enjoy it so much more than the BCF. I'm glad I don't work retail anymore. Also, the job has been quite the workout. I've been sore for the past few days but I am hoping to be buff sometime soon. Another story: Krys actually scored me the job. Well, she emailed the my resume and I was offered to start the next day after the interview. We're awesome!

As for other stuff, our apartment is looking really good. In fact, it no longer looks like we're moving in. Krys has been mostly in charge of the decorating. Let's face it, she does have better taste than I do. I am looking forward to seeing everybody at the receptions soon. I'm totally excited to go back to Oregon for a few days. I think it will be nice to get all the planning and craziness done with. Plus it will be nice to have all the wedding presents. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Carter for driving St. Louis presents come next week. Anyways, everyone is great and we love you all!!

I Do

Thats true! We are married. It was all so amazing. For those of you who couldn't be there here is how our week went: during the week before the wedding there was a lot of finalizing plans and driving people around. Finally on Friday we got married at 1 in the afternoon. Afterwards we had a few pictures on the temple grounds. We were really lucky because it said it was going to rain all day then when we got out of the wedding it wasn't raining! After pictures with family and friends we were able to go with our photographer (Stacy) downtown and just take pictures of me and Felipe. We went to the jewel box  and to art hill in downtown st. louis. I haven't seen the pictures yet but I know they are going to be amazing! That night we had a reception in the hotel ballroom at the Marriott. It was so beautiful. We left the next day to go to Cancun where we had quite the adventure. We got lost, sunburnt in downtown cancun, met an engaged italian who owned a sandwich shop, took a lot of busses, went to see some ruins, stepped on a few white sand crabs at night on the beach, and finally relaxed and had a great time. Now we are back in Provo, UT trying to unpack our box-full apartment while looking for furniture. It was all amazing and lets be honest here - I married the most amazing man in the world!

In St. Louis

Well, here we are. Krys and I made it to St. Louis. Things are going well. This is how it's been this past week. Packing all of our stuff. I was homeless from April 25th until May 1st where most of my stuff was at Krys' for the time being. I had a pile packed almost to the ceiling. Not that I don't enjoy being a hobo it was nice to finally move into our new place. Which we moved all our stuff in on Thursday. We even got our kitchen and bathroom organized. Sweet! We then flew out to St. Louis that night with a stop over in the Atlanta. And my stummy has been wiggle-tastic the past few days. Don't worry, I'm all better now [at least as far as I know]. We're now just hanging out and running errands and getting stuff ready for the wedding on Friday. So all is good and I'm totally stoked.

Nothing better to do

It was either this one or the one Sally did. I may do them both.

twenty years ago i...
1) Probably working on the coolest Kindergarten assignment ever: Drawing a vampire!!
2) Obsessed with Ghostbusters. I know, Andy Monahan's birthday party was so themed.
3) I think I swore for the first time

ten years ago i...
1) Just learning that I had potential running the open 400 meter sprint.
2) I was still wearing a U2 Lemon t-shirt that hideous orange shirt and Andy's pants. I was really not fashionable. No, really, even worse than I am now. It was bad.
3) I was a really, really, awkward boy. Not on purpose.

five years ago i...
1) Was convincing people to change religions and become "mormon"
2) Really excited to be returning to my homeland. [That would be the U.S.]
3) Finally figured out how to be the missionary I wanted to be.

three years ago i...
1) I was consistent in writing in my journal
2) Helping my roommate propose to his girlfriend. And yes, I was wearing Andy's matching leopard print pants/vest/bow tie outfit. I'm awesome
3) Avoiding specific people for very good reason.

one year ago i...
1) I was having several very serious conversations about eternity with a beautiful young woman.
2) I grew to dislike the general public
3) Getting back into school

so far this year i have...
1) Proposed. [Technically it was very, very late last year. Dec 15th]
2) Moved. Again. Back in with the boys. Glorious wastes of time
3) Rediscovered my love for Magic: The Gathering. I hate you James Meservy!!

yesterday i...
1) Bought toilet paper that won't give you rashes
2) Made some chicken enchiladas that are way tasty
3) Watched The Office with Krys

today i...
1) sold some books back to BYU
2) Took a final exam
3) will finish off those amazing chicken enchiladas

tomorrow i will...
1) go back to work for the BCF
2) probably hate my soul for going back to the BCF
3) think about studying but then ignore that thought

in the next year i will...
1) get into the major I want
2) travel. A lot
3) get my Christmas stocking from Mom and Dad's. I love that thing

That was me being bored. I hope you all doing well. Apparently people are getting wedding invitations now. I haven't seen them yet. From what I hear, they're awesome. Be good everyone.

movie to recommend

Krys and I went to see this last night. She had seen it before. I hadn't and I'm a general fan of Disney. I must say it was quite ridiculous but nonetheless very enjoyable. The movie seemed to make fun of itself which I was very okay with that. I say watch this movie if you want some entertainment. Also, does anyone know where I can buy such a versatile squirrel? I would like to get one of those.

I'm a happy man

I would just like to let everyone know how much I love Krys. Last weekend I had a killer temperature. Meaning it was insanely high and I was at the point to where I could hardly move. Krys took care of me the entire time. She is absolutely wonderful. Dear Krys, I appreciate you so much. Love, Felipe

Engagement Picts

This week has been very productive. We got our engagement pictures taken, although the light was not excellent some turned out great. We will try to post them here soon. (I'll make Felipe figure that out!) Also, I found my wedding dress and possible bridesmaids dresses. We are working out details on the cake and dresses for the nieces. We found what hotel we will be staying at in Playa del Carmen, but we haven't booked it yet, that will probably happen this week. There is still a lot to do but its coming along!

way excited

The only thing that I really have to say is that I'm all kinds of excited about starting a new family life with Krys. We're starting to look into honeymoon destinations in the CancĂșn area. We may have a lot of stuff to take care of but I'm excited. Anyways, I love you Krys!!!
