Christmas in La Grande

This year we got to go to La Grande for Christmas! It was a nice two week vacation full of shopping, cooking, playing with the nieces and nephews, family, and lots of love!

The kids got up super early (look at that pretty sunrise) to open presents.

We got to celebrate Arys' birthday with a beautiful cake and pin the lips on the frog game. Look at that beautiful smile!

Violet's favorite was uncle Felipe for a while. She loved hanging out with him!

We made a beautiful two-headed snowman... I did not know you could really roll up snow and make a snowman, I guess I've never tried to do that before.

The Beginnings

It all started when me, my roommate and my brother wanted to play a game of basketball but our ball was flat. We decided to go over to Felipe's apartment (not knowing he even existed - but we did know his roommate had a basketball we could use). It ended up that Felipe's roommate invited himself and Felipe to come play with us.

During the game we both tried to flirt with each other (I say "tried" for a reason here...). After the game, sadly enough, we didn't end up seeing much of each other for a few months. Here and there we would see each other at church and say hi and eventually we decided that we needed to hang out. We ended up going to a movie and having the theater to ourselves. About a week later we went to another movie and flirted a lot more over this week or so. Finally on Feb 16th we became a couple and have been happy ever since!
